Programming Tips

Although each of the Sharp cash register models has its own operations manual, some programming tricks are applicable to all units. These tricks of programming include the following:

You can access the five settings in the cash register by using one or two of the mode keys. These settings are Mode, Void (transaction cancel), Reg (allows transaction entries), X/Flash (for printing of sales reports) and Z/Pgm (resetting of sales data).

The Z/Pgm setting allows for programming according to the number of departments in your business as well as the present prices in each department. This way, cash and credit transactions are speeded up.

The Sharp cash register can be programmed to compute for two or more separate taxes in one go. Also, it is possible to compute for the premium and discount setting.
